TOOLS FOR SUCCESS
Building Pathways &
Removing Barriers
to Employment
Employment programs designed around real barriers—not ideal circumstances. We meet individuals where they are and build pathways that support long-term success.
We develop and implement employment preparation and training programs that are designed to remove barriers, build skills, and support long-term job retention. We work one-on-one with participants and community partners to build a path towards stability.
THE CHALLENGES
WE SEE
Traditional employment programs often assume stability that participants do not have yet.
Individuals experiencing homelessness face unique, complex, high(er) barriers to employment: lack of identification, limited recent professional skills, substance use and mental health challenges, transportation, and more.
Without structured, flexible, and ongoing employment support - employment is out of reach for participants.
Employment programs often lack the capacity or structure to ensure system-level coordination and success to ensure participants, training partners, and employers succeed together.
OUR APPROACH
Grounded in Compassion & Accountability
Flexible and structured 1:1 support to meet participants where they are
Address barriers holistically, in collaboration with service providers
Focus on system-level coordination and success for participants, training programs, and employers
Designed for long-term retention, not short term placement

This class taught me that I have more to offer than what I am giving myself credit for. I have gained knowledge and refocused on bettering my life. This class helped open my eyes and be open to challenging myself for better outcomes.

WHO DOES THIS
WORK FOR?
All levels of government - cities, counties, states - seeking to align workforce and homeless systems
Funders seeking to create "flow" in their homeless system by building employment pathways to permanent housing
Workforce development agencies seeking to increase employment equity to communities with higher barriers to employment
Shelter and housing providers seeking employment pathways for participants
Communities ready to build barrier-informed employment programs
Put more funding towards programs like this – that help people become more self-sufficient. To allow people to work on themselves, be able to help them get their lives back, to become stable, and to become functional members of society. It’s great for helping people get back on their feet. Giving people the training they need to be successful.
